My Second Life Bucket List Challenge

Hello there! Today’s another blog meme, which is now re-named to “challenge” instead of “meme” since my sister insists on pronouncing it as “Me me” 😛

This challenge was a bit hard to do, what was also interesting for me to see what really interests me here. This is my bucket list!

Meme Instructions: Share at least 5 items on your Second Life Bucket List and try and complete one of the items on the list this week. Don’t forget to leave a link to your list in Strawberry’s comments below so we all can come by and check it out!

1. Make a mesh item that I can be proud of– Recently I’ve been trying to get into making meshes and trying for the love of god to understand Blender. I look up some tutorials and It all clicks when I watch it be done, but when I’m in Blender, it’s like trying to talk to someone when you don’t understand their native tongue. If someone has any good tutorials, please let me know!

2. Attend or participate in a play– I heard about the Romeo and Juliet play that was being shown at Basilique but I haven’t seen it yet. I’ve always also wanted to act in a play, even though I’m tremendously shy. I don’t know what draws me into it, but it seems fun!

3.  See some awesome SL musicians- I absolutely love music, but I rarely go to see any live music in SL, mostly because I’m an utter hermit and don’t socialize really well. I think pushing myself out of my comfort zone a little bit could be good for me, especially if it’s for something I enjoy!

4. Successfully role play at a sim- I know most of these things are about getting out of my comfort zone, but I do really like to RP, I just haven’t found a place that I can really get into the RP. I guess I would need to know what I really want to RP as, but I’m feeling it would be a Tolkien-esque elf (Love LOTR) or maybe some sort of historical sim. So much RP to choose from!

5. Go to more educational sims or events- I’ve always enjoyed learning, and I think that even though we stop learning in the traditional sense, such as high school or College, doesn’t mean that it should stop! I find SL to be a particularly fun way to learn since it can be an hands on and immersive experience!

That’s my bucket list! I liked thinking of stuff I really want to do in SL, this challenge sort of gave me a boost to make these things happen!

Bob and Neko’s Home

Hello there! I’ve been around SL a bit, and decided to visit Bob and Neko’s wonderful home.  They’ve opened it to the public until July 30th, so head there soon if you’re interested! I’ve rarely seen such a beautiful home that brought peace and a sense of homeliness throughout the entire sim. There is a variety  of places and little nooks to explore, the two main being a beach and the forest that holds the home itself. This sim is definitely worth exploring; it’s quite beautiful and homey all the way around!

Kudos to both Bob and Neko for a lovely home!

Berry’s Intriguing Questions Meme

Hello there! The post for today is a bit different than what I’ve been posting on my blog, and it’s a meme! “Meme” is typically referred to an Internet meme, so this may seem confusing to see it used in this sense, but these are blogger memes, so it works out. I haven’t shared anything about myself on this blog, and I think using these memes will allow you, the reader, to know a little more about me and who I am. 🙂

1. How do you deal with criticism?  In RL or SL, I’m a extremely stubborn, and this shows through when anyone tries to give me criticism, constructive or otherwise. I always listen to what they have to say, but I’m quite the perfectionist and if there’s a flaw… I’m more than disappointed in myself that I didn’t find it, therefore not putting out or having a great product. My passion and pride can also sometimes make me sensitive to criticism; I’ve never really cared what other people think, and their insults don’t bother me. But putting so much work into something I’m so proud of and finding it’s not the best that it could be disappoints me. I’m constantly trying to improve my skills with tolerating criticism, and to not let my passion or stubbornness get in the way of improving a project.

2. What’s the most infuriating thing other SL residents do? There isn’t just one thing that’s annoying, there are so many batshit crazies out there! I think what really sets me off is feeling like you’re entitled to something, or that someone  owes you something. Thinking that people are below you, and aren’t worth your time ( it’s a given that some aren’t, but it doesn’t mean everyone isn’t worth your time!). Although this all applies to RL too, so maybe these don’t count.

3.  Which SL resident would you most like to have lunch with and why? I couldn’t choose just one person! My top two would be Strawberry Singh and Whiskey Monday, I’ve admired these two for a very long time. Berry originally got me into blogging and high quality SL photos, and helped remind me why I still enjoy SL, which is to take photos! Whiskey Monday has such artistic and wonderful pictures, I’ve never been unsatisfied with her work. I’d love to just sit and learn and have a good time with these two!

4. Who would you say is your “anti” role model? Someone who serves as a warning rather than an inspiration?  I’ve learned throughout the years that if you don’t have anything nice to say that it’s better to keep your trap shut.  I don’t want to shame anyone, as I wouldn’t want them to shame me. But I must say, karma is a bitch!

5. What was something you used to enjoy, but was ruined for you? Socializing. It’s a long and personal story, so I’d rather leave it with that.

6. What’s something you want to do that you’d be embarrassed to tell other people about? Nothing! I do embarrassing things all the time and I have no shame in them. Life is embarrassing, and if you can’t laugh about it, you’ll always be trying so hard to “look cool”.

7. What’s the oddest term of endearment you’ve ever used or that someone’s used for you? Slimey sex face. I call my good friends that, just to set the mood of the conversation 😉

8.  Have you ever fallen in love with another SL resident? Who hasn’t? That’s like saying who HASN’T humped your naked friend in a shopping mall?

9. Describe a time/event in your slife that you’re nostalgic for. When I was a more sociable person. Hermit forever, ya’ll.

10.  What’s something sweet you’d like someone to do for you? I don’t know. Maybe a custom item, or a beautifully decorated sim that’s free for me to use for a month or so?

Location: Mayfair

Hello there! The sim of interest for today is Onigashima, which follows an Asian theme and features gorgeous scenery! There are so many picturesque spots to be seen and experienced while walking around looking the shops scattered around the sim. I brought my sister along and she was just as astonished as I was to see everything Onigashima’s beauty offered.

The shops range from Asian furniture to clothing– for both “large” and “petite” sizes. It is worth a walk around to see what you can find at Onigashima, you may find some lovely items!

Overall, Onigashima was absolutely gorgeous to explore and I know I’ll definitely be back at the shops for a possible shopping spree!

Enjoying the 4th at WatchTower

Hello everyone, Happy Independence Day  to you all! The 4th of July is an  American holiday that celebrates our freedom by eating barbeque, getting drunk, and setting off florescent explosives into the sky. I hope you all are having lovely barbeque and see amazing fireworks!

The sim of interest for today is the WatchTower, a cafe settled in forest that has a tiny (but pretty) beach, and beautiful mountains! This sim is definitely worth a look around, just for all the beauty there is to be seen there, and lots of relaxing areas to hang out in with friends.

I tend to find relaxing sims to be what I like, since they’re nice to hang out with friends, or just settle down and have a good time.

That’s all for today! Hope all is well and see you next post!

BEDIJ Day 30: Winter Moon

Hello there! Welcome to the last BEDIJ post! It’s been wonderful participating in this blog challenge that pushed me to start my blog! I’m excited to continue blogging my adventures in SL, hopefully for awhile to come 🙂

I’d like to thank those who have followed, liked, or commented (hey sis!) on my posts and showing your support; I’m really happy to see all the support from my posts. Thank you 🙂

The sim of interest is Winter Moon, a quaint sim to hang out and explore! I didn’t really find a specific theme in this sim, but I felt so relaxed and loved everything that makes up this sim. This sim is more directed towards socializing and hanging out, however I’m a complete hermit, but I could easily hang out here and enjoy my time there.

Overall, this sim is very relaxing to hang out and socialize at, with a beautiful aesthetic.

That’s all for today! See you next post!
